Today I played “Filthy/Gorgeous” by the Scissor Sisters while my friend’s (almost) 3-year-old splashed around.
He loved the song.
I couldn't stop smiling.
He loves to dance as well.
We ran around in circles in the kiddie pool, scooping up grass from the water with a tiny, plastic shovel made for sand castle building. It was hilarious. And not very effective.
Why is something so simple so fun?!
This is the kind of stuff life is made of…backyard dance parties with bare feet and happy hearts.
