"The Long Way Around"

I love this song by The Chicks.

The lyrics really affected me today in a way they never have before.

“But I’ve always found my way somehow, by takin’ the long way, takin’ the long way around.”

Sometimes I feel like I have not even begun to really live the life I desire. But then I remember everything I have done, and experienced, and accomplished by living an unconventional life.

I am 43.

I am single.

I have no kids.

I have no pets.

I own zero assets.

I live paycheck to paycheck.

And yet, I have no regrets.

I have taken my time in life to really figure out who I am and what I want.

I don't think most people can say that.

I will always take the scenic route in this adventure called life…preferably on the back of someone’s motorcycle. 😜
