The many seasons of curls

Curly hair is different every day and each season.

I used to bleach my hair blonde and use a straightening iron on my hair year-round.

What a fucking waste of time, money, and healthy hair!

My favorite hairstyle was a buzz cut. There were no bad hair days or wondering how the weather would affect my hair. Friends and family really freaked the fuck out. I don't really get the hype. It’s just hair. My soul is still the same.

Now I only wash my hair with shampoo bars and use zero styling products to avoid unnecessary toxins.

I never quite know how my hair will decide to express itself each day.

Summer heat and high humidity = frizzy fringe

Wild hair…don’t care.

My hair in March of 2020 before I shaved it all off…it was crazy to witness how attached most people were to the idea that my beauty, identity, and worth were all connected to my hair. Fuck that shit.
